As I mentioned in my last post about the new Audrey’s Cardigan pattern, I’m hosting a virtual knitalong (KAL) and it goes from October 23 – November 30th. However, you can join at any point! It’s a quick knit, but I’ve provided lots of time in-between each step so if you join late, it’s easy to catch-up fairly quickly. If you haven’t already joined, you can find all of the details here. What’s a little different about this KAL is that my focus is on tutorials – by joining, you’ll received emailed tutorials for each of the major steps in making Audrey’s Cardigan, so it’s part KAL and part online class (but you can learn at your own speed!). Here are just some of the tutorials you’ll receive by joining the KAL:
- How to make and measure a gauge swatch
- How to pick what size you should make (and what ‘positive ease’ means)
- Getting started knitting a top-down raglan sweater
- Separating sleeves from the body in a top-down raglan sweater
- Binding-off in pattern
- Transferring sleeve stitches to DPNs
- Picking up stitches for the front bands
- Making buttonholes
- Blocking a sweater
I hope you’ll join us! Click the button below for all the details on how to join:
