Picking Your Size:
I suggest picking a size that is approx 4-8”/10-20 cm larger than your actual chest measurement, depending on your desired fit.
Shown in size 3 (no body shaping), being worn with approx 7.5”/19 cm of positive ease at the bust.
Yarn:3 strands of lace-weight yarn held together, shown in Aerial by Berroco (60% Mohair, 25% Silk; 25g = 284 yds), color Birch 3416. Yardage and number of skeins broken down below:
- No Body Shaping Version: Approx 1325 (1450, 1575, 1725) (1850, 2050, 2175) (2375, 2550, 2725) yds of lace-weight yarn; 6 (6, 6, 9) (9, 9, 9) (9, 9, 12) balls of Berroco Aerial if you want to use 1 strand from each ball.*
- A-Line Shaping Version: Approx 1425 (1550, 1675, 1830) (1955, 2155, 2280) (2485, 2665, 2840) yds of lace-weight yarn; 6 (6, 6, 9) (9, 9, 9) (9, 12, 12) balls of Berroco Aerial if you want to use 1 strand from each ball.*

Gauge: 12 sts & 18 rnds = 4”/10 cm in St st in the rnd after blocking, holding suggested yarn triple-stranded.
Needles & Other Supplies:
- For body/gauge: US 11/8 mm 24”/60 cm and 32”/80 cm circs, or size needed to obtain gauge (note: sizes 7-10 may also want to consider a 40”/100 cm long circ for the body sections).
- For neck ribbing & neck short rows: US 10.5/6.5 mm 16”/40 cm circ, or 1 needle size smaller than that used to obtain gauge.
- For hem ribbing: US 10.5/6.5 mm 32”/80 cm circ, or 1 needle size smaller than that used to obtain gauge.
- For sleeves: US 11/8 mm DPNs, or same size as used to obtain gauge (or you can use 32”/80 cm circ if working magic loop method).
- For sleeve cuffs: US 10.5/6.5 mm DPNs, or 1 needle size smaller than that used for sleeve (or a 32”/80 cm circ if working magic loop method).
- 4 stitch markers (one a different style than others).
- 1 locking stitch marker.
- Stitch holder cords or scrap yarn.
- Tapestry needle.
