One of my favorite parts of being a knitting designer is when I get to see finished photos of beautiful knits created from one of my patterns. Seeing how everyone puts their own personal twist to it – whether it be with color choice, altering aspects of the design, or simply how it’s styled – is so rewarding and makes me feel so connected to all of you.
I released my Soundtrack Top and Soundtrack Cowl in November 2019, and over this year I’ve seen so many great finished photos that I wanted to share. So without further ado, here are some wonderful finished Soundtracks from around the country. Thank you to all these wonderful knitters for allowing me to share their photos here!
Dolores from Webster Groves, Missouri
Dolores made her Soundtrack also in Malabrigo Rios, in the Sunset and Teal Feather colorways. This combo is so striking and looks amazing on Dolores!
Annette from Endless Skein Yarn Shop, Cold Spring, New York
Annette is from the yarn shop Endless Skein in Cold Spring, NY and knit her Soundtrack out of Shepherd’s Wool Worsted. I love this yarn and this classic color combo is just so pretty and Annette looks fabulous!
Michio from St. Louis, Missouri
Michio knit their Soundtrack in Malabrigo Rios – this is a such a great yarn substitute for Soundtrack and I absolutely love this color combo they chose – that mustardy yellow with the gray is just perfect!
Amy from Erie, Colorado
Amy knit her Soundtrack Cowl in Loop Fiber Studio’s Yin Yang. I love this yarn (I actually have a couple of skeins of it in my closet from last year’s Vogue Knitting Live!) and these pink colors are so beautiful! What a great pop – love this Amy!
Vanessa from Georgia
How amazing is Vanessa’s Soundtrack!? She shortened the length and I just love how it came out. She used KnitPick’s Swish Worsted in the Pucker and Highlighter colorways. Such a great job Vanessa!
Jasmine from Brooklyn, New York
Jasmine knit her Soundtrack out of Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Worsted and Brooks Farm Yarn Four Play – I love these colors together and it’s a great example of combining different worsted-weights together. I also love how Jasmine styled her Soundtrack too – love it!
Natalie from Knitting Off Broadway yarn shop, Fort Wayne, Indiana
Natalie owns the yarn shop Knitting Off Broadway in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Soundtrack Cowl she made was knit with Shibui Knits’ Drift and a handspun – I love the effect with these 2 yarns together! The Soundtrack Top is also knit in Shibui – so gorgous!
Jani from Portland, Maine
Jani is a friend of mine who I met through KnitWit Yarn Shop and she knit her Soundtrack in Malabrigo Rios. The fit is just so perfect on Jani and looks so wonderful on her! Great job Jani!
Heather from Bliss Yarns yarn shop, Brentwood, Tennessee
Heather is part of the team at Bliss Yarns in Brentwood, Tennessee and knit her Soundtrack in Malabrigo Rios. This orange/peach combo is so pretty and really shows off the slip stitch pattern. Such a great job Heather!
Laurie from Hank yarn shop in Cincinnati, Ohio
Laurie owns Hank Yarn Shop in Ohio and made her Soundtrack out of Madeline Tosh Vintage (in the Silver Fox and Floura Rose colors).I just love these 2 colors together on Laurie and it looks so beautiful!
Karen from Portland, Maine
Karen is my wonderful technical editor (and this was a picture of the two of us in early 2020, back before the days of social-distancing!) And she actually edited my Soundtrack pattern – so she likes to say she knit Soundtrack twice – once in her head when she was editing the pattern and a second time when she physically knit it! She used Dirty Water Dyeworks’ Norma – one of my favorite indie-dyers!
