As part of my design process, after a pattern has been professionally tech edited but before it releases to the public it spends a couple of months in preview/test knitting. During this process, I have a group of preview/test knitters who make the sweater and in essence “test it out” so I can get first-hand feedback before it’s available to the general public. It’s a wonderful way to see how different knitters interpret the instructions and allows me to fine-tune things to ensure the pattern is as well-written as possible (note: if you’re interested in test/preview knitting for me – click here for more info!)
For Audrey’s Pullover I had so many wonderful test/preview knitters! Each one of them added their own personality to this sweater, whether with their color choices, the amount of ease they’ve chosen to wear it with, pattern alterations they made, or how they’ve styled it. I hope seeing all of these different versions provides a little inspiration!
