The Ramona Cardigan KAL Workshop – Begins Jan 25th
I’m so excited to launch my next knitalong (KAL) workshop course! We’ll be knitting my popular Ramona Cardigan design – a top-down, seamless cardigan that’s a perfect skill-building sweater project. At the end of my last KAL Workshop last Winter, I asked participants what they would love to see as my next workshop and Ramona Cardigan was on the top of the list. I thought it was a great idea because it’s also a wonderful “first sweater” pattern, so this KAL is not only for knitters looking to expand their knitting skills but also for newer knitters looking to make their very first sweater.
What is a “Virtual KAL Workshop”?
In case you’re new to my KAL workshops, you may be asking – “What exactly is it?“. My virtual KAL Workshops are part online course and part KAL. Here’s what I mean:
- I’ve created in-depth, pre-recorded video lessons (that you can watch and re-watch at your own pace and convenience) that guide you through EVERY aspect of making my popular Ramona Cardigan design. You will feel like you have a knitting teacher right next to you, guiding you through each section, row-by-row.
- It’s structured like a KAL, new video lessons will become ‘unlocked’ each week as we make our way through the pattern over the 6 weeks. But there’s no pressure to keep up with the KAL schedule – these video lessons can be watched and re-watched at your own pace, even after the KAL is over.
- We’ll have live Zoom meet-ups throughout the 6-week experience, providing opportunities for real-time connection and support.
So there are all the benefits of an online course (pre-recorded videos you can watch and rewatch whenever it’s convenient for you), but the structure and support of a typical KAL experience (where we have weekly milestones and you have access to me for questions and support, either through email or our bi-weekly Zoom meet-ups).
