I have BIG news to share! I have an educational and fun virtual event planned for January and enrollment is now open. So what is it??
I have a new virtual knitting course where I walk you through every step of making my popular Alanis top (and I mean every step – there are over 80 instructional videos!). And here’s the fun part too – I’m launching it as a knitalong workshop experience which kicks off on January 13th! So if you want to learn how to make Alanis with super in-depth instructional videos but also have the experience of a fun, virtual KAL then this might be right up your alley!
Alanis is a great “first garment” or “skill-building” project, which is why I chose it as my first online course. If you know the knitting basics like how to cast-on, knit and purl but have been hesitant to take on a sweater project, then this is a perfect opportunity! Or even if you have knit some sweaters before, you’ll still definitely learn lots of new tips and tricks throughout this workshop.
Have I piqued your interest? Watch my quick 5 minute intro video below to learn a bit more, directly from me! Or keep reading below for some additional details…
Overview of the Alanis KAL Workshop:
- The Alanis instructional videos are on my new learning platform that provides an ad-free, user-friendly experience. I have created over 80 video lessons and 5.5 hours of instructional content that cover every aspect of making Alanis, from how to pick a size and gauge swatch all the way to weaving in ends and blocking (and everything in-between).
- As soon as you enroll in the workshop you will have access to the first 3 learning modules (about picking a size, yarn options and gauge swatching), and then the remaining modules will gradually be “unlocked” each week throughout the 6-week KAL, starting on Jan 13.
- And, you’ll have access to this learning platform even after the KAL is over, so there is no pressure to keep up – you can go at your own pace and in your own time.
- We’ll have a few live Zoom meet-ups throughout the KAL workshop where I’ll host open Q&A time and share other fun tips and tidbits. Our first Zoom will be on our cast-on date of Jan 13th! Plus you can join the optional private Facebook group to meet other students, ask questions and post in-progress photos.
