I just released my latest pattern, Raincheck! This design had been in my head for quite a long time, so I’m so excited to finally have it published. My goal was to create a little layering piece that you could wear in the warmer months. As you might know already from seeing my other designs, I’m all about layering – but this can sometimes be a challenge in the summer months! But a little vest like this works perfectly when knit in a summer-friendly yarn.

I love just a little detail, so I decided to incorporate a diagonal of simple eyelet stitches but just along the left front. I thought this asymmetry gave the piece a bit of a modern vibe, and just a little bit of visual interest to break up the stockinette stitch.
I knit 2 versions so you can see 2 possible yarn options. Quince & Co Kestrel is a 100% linen yarn.

And the other version is Berroco Remix. This yarn is a cotton blend and is so soft, and has a great texture too. And another bonus is the more affordable price point as you only need between 2-5 skeins depending on size.

Pattern includes links to video tutorials to help you along the way, so don’t worry if you are a more beginner knitter – you can totally do this!
