In part 2 of “Behind the Design: Alanis” (click here for part 1), I’m sharing some finished Alanis photos from around the world! I love seeing how each knitter made it their own, either with color choice, different revisions they made, or simply how they style it in their own way. I’m so inspired by all of these fabulous knitters and so thankful that they have allowed me to share their photos here!
Alanis Gallery
Laura from Castelló, Spain
Laura used Beiroa from Retrosaria in the colorway Verde. Perfect color and fit – and even her cat loves it!
Suzy from New Jersey, USA
Suzy used Scout by Kelbourne Woolens in the Teal Heather colorway. Love how she paired it with a knit cowl in a complementary color – so pretty!
Katie from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada
Katie used Comfort by Berroco in the Spruce colorway. Such a lovely fit on her and that color is fantastic (and I just love her necklace too! She makes lovely jewelry and other accessories – check out her Etsy page!)
Lumina from South Korea
Lumina used Tennen by Noro. I love the beautiful Ivory colorway she chose with a pop of red for pocket lining, and her addition of the stripe on the pocket too. Love her style!
Jasmine from Brooklyn, New York, USA
Jasmine used Cascade 220 by Cascade Yarns. I loved how she used a contrasting color for the bottom hem! And how cute is that tunic she is wearing with it – perfectly styled!
Laurie from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
Laurie used a warm-weather-friendly yarn for her Alanis – she used Concept Lincys by Katia, a linen/flax blend. I loved how she made this into a summer piece, and her layered necklaces complement it so well!
Barbara from Göttingen, Niedersachsen, Germany
Barbara used Finullgarn by Rauma. This lovely little layer looks fabulous on her and she has styled it so well too!
Kym from Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
Kym used Shelter by Brooklyn Tweed in the Soot colorway (with Cast Iron for the bottom hem). I love the combination of these natural, rustic colors. And paired with a long tunic underneath is perfection!
Lu from Chicago, Illinois, USA
Lu used Cascade 220 by Cascade Yarns in the Smoke Blue colorway. Her work is impeccable. And it looks so lovely on her over that crisp white shirt – such a great combo!
Sue from Central Otago, New Zealand
Sue actually knit 2 Alanis’! They were both knit out of Amuri 4ply by Naturally along with a lace weight mohair – love the colors and her layered look with this piece! She lengthened the second one and also added a second pocket – love her creativity with this!
Larisa from Vermont, USA
Larisa used Limited Edition Avocado by Green Mountain Spinnery. This is such a great color and looks fantastic on Larisa! I also love her pop of color for the pocket.
Jodee from Burien & Brinnon, Washington, USA
Jodee used Remix by Berroco in the Patina colorway (love this yarn! I used it for my Stevie last year). This is such a pretty layering piece on Jodee and love it paired with her tall boots.
Barb from New York City, USA
Barb used Dos Tierras by Malabrigo in the Cirrus Grey colorway. The fit is perfect on her, and love both the look with the scarf as well as the necklace – either way it’s styled perfectly and she looks beautiful!
