I’m happy to tell you about a collaboration that I’ve been working on this year! Stone Wool is a yarn company based in my home city of Portland, Maine and when they approached me to come up with some designs using their American Romney+Merino yarn, well I was thrilled to say the least.
The Patterns
I designed 3 patterns for Stone Wool:
Perry Hat & Mitts
Both the hat and mitts feature traveling lines of faux cables inbetween wide ribbing – so simple to knit but creates such an interesting texture. You can purchase the patterns individually on Ravelry or on the Stone Wool website – click here for the Perry Hat and click here for the Perry Mitts.
Winifred Pullover
The Winifred Pullover is knit seamlessly from the bottom-up and features a combination of simple stockinette and garter stitch with a lacy check motif. It has a boxy silhouette that is cozy to wear but still has a modern fit. Pattern is available on Ravelry as well as the Stone Wool website. Click here to view the pattern details.
Interview with Stone Wool
I was happy to meet with Abby from Stone Wool (also the wonderful photographer for the brand) at KnitWit Yarn Shop in Portland and chat about yarn, my designing process and my new patterns! You can check out the interview on the Stone Wool blog!
