We’re just about reaching the unofficial end of summer! I’ve been knitting up a storm during these warm months, mostly secret projects that I can’t quite tell you about yet (looking forward to unveiling them next year!). I was able to take a week off though in July when my parents came up to visit from Florida – always fun to have a staycation when you live in Maine!
While my Mom was here, she had an idea for a light-weight cowl that she could wear in Florida. We worked together on figuring out the stitch pattern and calculations, and now I’m happy to announce the release of the Lorraine cowl (named after my Mom of course!).
Instructions are included for both sport and DK-weight yarns. She used Berroco’s cotton/cashmere blend Corsica, and I’m currently knitting it up with The Fibre Company’s alpaca/silk/cashmere blend Road to China Light.
In other exciting news this week, I was honored for the Canadian-based knitting pattern site Patternfish to name me their August Designer of the Month!
I’m looking forward to some cooler weather as we get into September (at least I’m hoping!), and I have some upcoming patterns coming out this fall – stay tuned!
