How to Pick your Size: Choose a size that is approx 1-4”/3-10 cm larger than your actual bust measurement. For a close/fitted look, go with lower end of this, for a standard sweater fit, go with higher end, or more ease if desired! When in doubt, measure your favorite sweaters in your closet to see what your typical preferred fit is.

Yarn/Yardage: Chunky/Bulky-weight yarn, shown in Ultra Wool Chunky by Berroco (100% Superwash Wool; 100g = 145 yds), broken out as follows:
- Main Color (MC): Approx 640 (695, 780, 840, 900) (990, 1060, 1120, 1230, 1300) yds, 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) (7, 8, 8, 9, 9) skeins, shown in Sour Cherry. Note: add 40 yds to the above amounts if making the A-line version.
- Contrasting Color (CC): Approx 6-10 yds, 1 skein, shown in Chili.
Needles & Supplies:
- US 10/6 mm 32”/80 cm circ or size needed to obtain gauge.
- For Sleeves: US 10/6 mm DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge (or you can use 32”/80 cm circ if magic looping).
- For Button Band: US 9/5.5 mm 32”/80 cm circ, or 1 needle size smaller than that used to obtain gauge.
- For Sleeve Cuffs: US 9/5.5 mm DPNs, or 1 needle size smaller than that used to obtain gauge (or you can use 32”/80 cm circ if magic looping).
- 4 stitch markers.
- 2 pieces of scrap yarn, approx 20”/51 cm in length.
- Tapestry needle.
- Locking stitch markers (for buttonhole placement).
- 4 buttons, approx 7/8”.
Construction:
- Audrey’s Cardigan is knit all in one piece from the top-down and features raglan construction to shape the yoke.
- Sleeves are split at the underarm and body is worked in one piece to the hem with options to either work no shaping, waist shaping or A-line shaping.
- Sleeves are transferred to DPNs (or you can use 32”/80 cm circ for magic loop method) and worked in the round to the cuff.
- Stitches are picked up along each front edge and the neckline and worked in rib stitch to create button bands.
- A single stripe of contrasting color is featured above the hem and cuffs (although this can be omitted if you prefer.
